There is a foreword by Hank Aaron, player for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves.
Evaluation criteria: Style - "We Are The Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball" by Kadir Nelson has an abundance of information about Negro League Baseball, but it's style makes this informational book a must read. It has very beautiful, realistic pictures of negro players.
